The seven-day holiday commemorates the miraculous clouds that surrounded the Israelites on their way to the Promised Land. It immediately and seamlessly flows into the especially joyous two-day holiday of Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah, which end at nightfall on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
