A Home for Jewish Life in North Alabama

For more than a decade, Chabad of Huntsville has been growing alongside our community. What began with a dream has become a vibrant Jewish home, filled with Shabbat meals, holiday celebrations, classes, children’s programs, friendships, and countless moments of Jewish connection.

Now, we’re ready for the next chapter.

We’re building a Chabad House for the future of Jewish life in North Alabama.

A place where every Jew can walk through the doors and feel at home. A place for learning, celebrating, gathering, growing, and simply being Jewish. A place where our children will build their Jewish identity, where families will create memories, and where our community can continue to grow for generations to come.

This is more than a building.

It’s an investment in the future of Jewish life in North Alabama.

And we’re inviting you to help us build it.

With a pool of close to 40 donors, Chabad of Huntsville successfully secured a large lot of land in the heart of Huntsville!

In September 2022, Chabad purchased the lot at the corner of Governors Drive and California Street, adjacent to Huntsville Hospital.

And now, the dream is becoming a reality.

Yes, this is a communal project, one that takes vision, courage, and the partnership of many people who believe in the future of Jewish life in North Alabama.

That first group of nearly 40 donors helped put a stake in the ground. They believed that our community was ready for something bigger. Now, we have the opportunity to build upon that foundation and create a permanent home for Jewish life for generations to come.

This will be a place where a child comes to learn, a family gathers for Shabbat, a Jew walks in looking for connection, and someone who has never stepped into a synagogue before feels completely at home.

The land is here. The vision is here. Now we need our community to help us build what comes next.

This is our Chabad House.
This is our community.
And together, we can build it.
